Elk are raised naturally on fresh open pastures and free of hormones and steroids. Our ranchers are dedicated to producing a premium quality product that is flavorful, versatile, and a healthy choice.

The Alberta government has a program in place for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) surveillance which means mandatory CWD testing is performed on 100% of the elk processed by AWAPCO.

(Though there is no known transmission of CWD to humans, the government of Canada recommends caution.)
